Lucas Rigauts brengt een instrumentaal gitaarproject waarin groove centraal staat. Met invloeden van Cory Wong, John Frusciante en Scott Henderson klinkt het geheel als een mix van strakke funk en expressieve improvisatie. Een live set waarin pocket, feel en dynamiek samenkomen, gedragen door de gitaar en bijgestaan door een fantastische band.

With his new quartet, saxophonist Ferre brings a set of his own compositions. During his studies, including a formative year in Austria, he began composing his own music, translating his personal sound on the saxophone into original work. His music combines strong melodic ideas with a rhythmic feel, while remaining open to new influences and directions in different styles. Ensemble playing is central to his approach which is why he surrounds himself with three talented musicians: Alexis Boone (piano), Alexander De Baedts (bass), and Toon Putteman (drums). Together, they interact, create a dynamic sound, and are willing to try new things.

Nikos Tsouvalas and his project invite listeners on a musical journey to the eastern parts of the world. Although he grew up in Belgium, he has always maintained a strong connection with his Greek roots and traditions. By combining the musical knowledge and influences he has gathered over the years from both cultures, Nikos Tsouvalas performs his own original compositions together with a large Eastern/Balkan orchestra. His music blends these traditions into a unique sound that tries to bridge cultures. His goal is to create music that connects with people from all over the world music that moves listeners emotionally, makes them dance, and allows them to forget their worries for a moment. After all, that is the true purpose of music.

Onder een blend van melancholie en bravoure serveert de LIGHTSPEED een bezweet salvo aan onstuimige indierock. Dat het viertal bovendien gedreven wordt door een hoop extravagante gitaren, existentieel gepreek en de geboden van een zootje overzeese zondaars, beukt alvast zonder al te veel pardon naar binnen. Kort samengevat: indie met losse veters en een ietwat hardnekkige hekel aan snelheidsbeperkingen - niets dat verkeerd kan gaan dus. Sinds haar ontstaan in 2023 bouwt LIGHTSPEED aan een stevige live-reputatie met overwinningen in concours als Sound Track (laureaat Oost-Vlaanderen), het Wase LAWIJTSTRIJD én als support voor onder andere SONS, DIRK, Ramkot, Basht. De boodschapper Het leven is een reis. Een eindeloze cirkel die ons in spiraalvorm omhoog en omlaag brengt. Afhankelijk van de lessen die we moeten leren, krijgen we obstakels en situaties die ons helpen groeien. De emoties die het leven teweegbrengt, kunnen we ontwijken, verteren of transformeren. Velen onder ons verloren hun stem en werden onzichtbaar door de omstandigheden van het leven. Ik kreeg muziek als geschenk om deze collectieve emoties te verteren, te transformeren en die gevoelens samen met jullie te delen. Vandaag heb ik de eer om mijn eigen werk te presenteren, als startpunt van mijn carrière.

In een wereld waar het inpluggen van een Les Paul in een Marshall zeker geen slechte combo is, gooit Daan het over een andere boeg. Geïnspireerd door gitaristen als Soklo, Nuffer en Ella Feingold nestelt hij zich tussen een wirwar van kabels, op zoek naar klanken die 25 jaar geleden nog gevaarlijk waren voor je carrière. Verwacht een afwisseling tussen ‘non-linear reverb’ gitaarrifferij en kwetsbare Americana. Soms hoekig, soms dromerig, soms verrassend simpel. Kortom: De soundtrack van een student in een grootstad die een carrière als muzikant in Nashville romantiseert anno 2026. Hij brengt deze masterproef samen met zijn band (en hartsvrienden) Esmee Cuvelier, Robin Vantomme, Kamiel Bossuyt, Stanny Rijckaert en Louisa Hautekiet. Voor zijn drum masterproef componeert Siebert muziek die hij live uitvoert bij een verkorte versie van Perfect Days van Wim Wenders. In een steeds drukker wordende wereld zoekt hij naar rust en vertraging. Natuur en alledaagse momenten vormen daarbij het uitgangspunt, gevormd door de muziek die de nadruk legt op subtiliteit en ruimte. Zo richt hij de aandacht op verstilling, gevoel van klein geluk en het bewust beleven van het alledaagse.
